Sustainability Governance
Sustainability governance
At Cordeel, our sustainability governance is designed to ensure clear responsibilities and effective execution, covering the material sustainability topics identified in our DMA.
Our Sustainability Committee meets quarterly to define strategy, set goals, and oversee implementation and progress.
It includes directors from divisions and key Corporate Services representatives from Legal, HR, QHSE, and Sustainability.
The Committee ensures sustainability is embedded across all business operations and guides our Focus Groups.
These are multidisciplinary teams such as Green Concrete, Sustainable Standardisation, and Fit @ Cordeel that translate strategy into action and report on progress.
We have clearly defined targets related to our material impacts, risks and opportunities, supported by clear metrics and KPIs.
The Sustainability Committee oversees the setting and monitoring of these targets, while the ExCo reviews and endorses them annually.
Consisting of the Cordeel family, the Board of Directors provides feedback and strategic direction.
Corporate Services teams manage key sustainability initiatives and monitor performance across specific material topics.
HR addresses social matters (S1), Legal covers governance topics (G1), QHSE manages energy, scope 1 & 2 emissions, waste, and health & safety (E1, E5, S1).
Sustainable Transformation handles group-wide reporting, scope 3 emissions, biodiversity, embodied carbon, and circular design (E1, E4).
Our Sustainability Manager oversees this entire framework, ensuring alignment, regulatory compliance, and external engagement with customers and financial institutions. The Sustainability Manager also leads or supports the Focus Groups to drive meaningful progress.
